Historically, psychics have been seen as old and weathered. They are usually cryptic and forbodding .
I have shown up for events and guests will double take and exclaim “you don’t look like a psychic” to which I always reply “and what does a psychic look like?” “Old” they say.
People connect age to wisdom, magick, and lore. Today an elder can look hip, sexy and and anything but the stereotype.
The initiation of the crone, stepping into our elder use to be 50. Now that we see that age as young, it’s been moved by a full decade…60 baby! feeling like an elder means having wisdom and wit, experience, knowledge and owning it. For some 50 is the golden number. How will you know, you will feel it!
Our abilities get stronger, we have freed ourselves from the need to follow social norms, and we know who we are and what we are with confidence and have the experiences to lean on.
Our world is enriched by age. Gods and goddesses are depicted as young and fair, but their words and actions come from their ancient souls.
Our concepts of age, thanks to art and movies, is that those with supreme powers are incredibly beautiful inside and out. Anthony Hopkins as Odin and Renee Russo as Frigga in Marvels Avengers being prime examples of that.
Age is a wondrous thing, because we are well rounded and have seen and know the world. Information gathered become frames of reference for our spirit team to communicate with us through. And there are so many colours of life to draw from when one is mature!
Ageism is not an issue for us. No one is going to force retirement on a clairvoyant at 65. At that age we are just getting started! Just beginning to share our stories! We are creating a legacy for generations to come with our life’s work, passions, and sense of unadulterated joy of being alive and connected!
