I was taught by my wonderful South American friends early in my energetic journey that life is as simple or complex as we choose to make it. I try to choose simply. Partly because I am lazy, but mostly because I truly believe life should be. Yes, life has its ups and downs, but I see each argument, hug, tear, and moment of connection as a growth experience. I live and share that knowledge everyday because a spirit gave me a statement that has changed and guided my life and I hope through me, the life of many.

There is no such thing as a problem in life, Only opportunities to learn and grow.

I chose a path that dictates I see the light in the darkness.

I chose a path that challenges common ways of seeing the world. It is work that consistently takes time, effort and nurturing. We see movies where psychics and clairvoyants seem to connect to the other side with ease and effortlessness. It’s not always the case. We are wired differently. It takes deep understanding and at times, courage to see truths where no one else is willing. The more clearly we see, the more clearly the apparitions become.

There are times that I can see someones aunt Bessy as if she were still on this plane. I have had moments of such psychic lucidity that the person I am speaking with is not a person at all, and it is only when someone else points it out that I realize I am speaking with a spectre. In those times I am so in the present and in the moment, I’m between worlds….those moments are far and few between.

We cannot live on the other side constantly. it is unhealthy for the human body and psyche. We have to find grounding here in the material and corporal world fairly equally. Most times readers get information in tid-bits. A name, a street, a comment, a vision. Sometimes it’s detective work.

After years of exploring my abilities and getting to know my spirit team of angels, guides etc. I am only now able to put pieces of energetic puzzles together as the information flashes in front of my eyes. After many failed attempts and stumbling around in sessions over the years, I now know to ask questions of my spirit team when I hear disembodied words or images, “Can you clarify that please?”, or “Can you give me more on that?”

Even those who are adept from birth can be overwhelmed

I have spent endless hours doubting if any of it is even real, and shedding tears over the spirits feeling their pain, joy and fear, and knowing how real this work is.

It is helpful and healthy to learn how to focus our gifts. Some spend years honing these skills in order to live a semi-normal life. Most find themselves in the hands of heavy addiction to settle that they see, feel, and hear.

When this happens ego and humility need to be looked at. We all have them and need them. keeping them in balance clears the channel to becoming the strongest, healthiest human being and energetic you can be whether it is a healer, psychic, witch or priest (and yes, their job is to connect to source, therefore they are considered energetics too).

It was years before I realized I do not work for spirit and spirit does not work for me.

We work together and I get to set the boundaries. I am graced with a natural, born within me ability to connect and it belongs to me. Given to me before I was born, and a birthright I am worthy of. This means I am to be respected as I respect spirit. I revere them and they revere me. We love each other, walk with each other, and are an integral part of each others existence living harmoniously side by side.

I am consistently asked the names of people spirit guides. That is part of the journey! learning who they are by asking them. We down play our ability to connect to the other side every time we say things like “Oh I’m not psychic” “I just feel things sometimes”.

Comparing yourself to others also is the anthesis of heightening or deepening your abilities because you will always have a way of connecting that is very much your own. Abilties are like finger prints, no matter how similar they are, they are NEVER the same. I love working with others for just that reason. What I can’t see another might.

However, the good news it that we are in a time where this topic of ghosts, spirit realms, and things that go bump in the night are no longer at arms length and tales we tell wee ones. We find comfort in the stories of others and how their family members have come to visit them from the beyond, hoping that perhaps we too, might have that blessing bestowed upon us.

We are more willing to accept the intangibles as tangibles, and as normal, integral parts of our lives. Superstitions of old are being sifted through by new society and a new evolution of children, young people and adults. We are learning to discern between what is real and what is not. We are teaching our upcoming generations to follow their feel and intuition, to live their passions.

This new more awakened society will be more malleable to discovering and becoming aware of their unique abilities faster. They will incorporate the knowledge that we struggled to find in a more effortless and natural way. They will know it as a part of who they are, and not something that is learned. They will see the world in a way that will inspire and flow.

Our work today will make a more energetically aware tomorrow, until we are more than sparks of light. We will be that light we so long to become.
