Sometimes when the world feels like it’s falling down around you the best thing to do is dance through the fire!
The audience only sees the show. They have no idea the work that goes on behind the scenes. The line rehearsals, dressing the stage or space.
They have no idea how when we have things go weird right in front of them, we manage to make it a part of the experience.
How at the end of the day the Curtain goes down and we go home tired and aching for sleep.
All the while knowing we are going to get up and do it all over again the next day willingly and with a smile.
For some of us it’s about the ghosts and spirits we work with that make it worth the while. For others it’s the healing it brings to their human and animal counterparts. For others still it’s just the pure fun of playing in the dark, the oujia boards, haunted dolls and the spirit boxes!
Whatever it is we show up. And as a wise artist once said…it’s show time!
